The Region of Al Wusta:
Al Wusta is one of regions in Sultanate of Oman.
Located Al Wusta is situated to the south of both Al Dakhiliyah and Al Dhahirah Governorates, Relate to the east of the Arabian Sea, And relate to the west side of the Empty Quarter desert, On the south by the Governorate of Dhofar, It occupies a large area from the center of the Sultanate.
Characterized by the presence of a large number of wells, oil and gas fields in its territory, The total population of about 16.331 Omanis, And 4.014 arrivals, According to statistics in 2003.
Has been the development of this region in 1991, As a stand-alone, To enhance development efforts, Where she was distributed its cities and villages, Between the areas of Al Dakhiliyah and Al Sharqiyah and the Governorate of Dhofar.
Region of Al Wusta is Divided administratively into four states are:
1- Wilayat Haima.
