Wilayat Salalah:
Wilayat Salalah is a state in the Governorate of Dhofar in the Sultanate of Oman.




State of Salalah is located south of the Sultanate, And it is the administrative capital of the Governorate of Dhofar and it is characterized by an exceptional atmosphere for the rest of the Sultanate of Oman and The Gulf countries where Tourism is active throughout the year.




Begins summer in the Gulf of July while the are of the mountains of Dhofar, consisting of (Jabal Samhan, Mountains of Dhofar, Moon Mount) rug green.




Tops of those mountains fog light while spray rain moistens the air and affected the city of Salalah in this weather the extraordinary being located near the Highlands Central to the mountains of Dhofar. Salalah is famous for incense and frankincense and a high incidence of tropical coconut trees that have fruit like coconut and sold there in abundance.




Dhofar Salalah, capital and administrative center and commercial capital city of Salalah on the southern coast of the Sultanate of Oman has a population of the state according to the census, in 2003 156.530 people.

And highlight the area ( Al Baleed ) as one of the most prominent monuments witness to the place where the historic fort and the remains of the famous docks and buildings, mosques and tombs scattered over a large area of ​​it.




The multiple sites of ancient monuments in the state of Salalah are striking where there are three archaeological sites in (Al-Maghseel) and the effects of the walls of old and tombs of the pre-Islam in (Rzat) and Dhkah camel of Saleh in (Al-Hasilah) and the walls and divisions cab and water wells in the entrance (Wadi Nahez).




There are three mosques: one for Abdul Aziz bin Ahmed in (Al Dhariz) and the other for Aqil mosque in (East of Salalah), and Abdullah Al Yamani mosque in (Awqad).




There are five religious shrines: The Prophet Ayoub in behalf of (Ghadow) and Salem bin Ahmed bin Arabiyah in (Raysut) and Hood bin Aamer in (Qairoon Hairaty) and the tomb of The Prophet Imran in (Al Qouf) and the tomb of Junaid in (Al Hisn).




In addition to the ancient monuments and special charm remains of the nature of its position also in Salalah, where the shores of Raysut and Al Dhariz and Al-Maghseel and Salalah, and the eyes water such as: (Rzat and Hamran and Gerzir and Ishat and Sahlanot) and valleys such as: (Arzat and Nahez and Arbuot and Gerzir and Aduonab and Ashouk).
