Wilayat Thumrait:
Wilayat Thumrait is a state in the Governorate of Dhofar in the Sultanate of Oman.


Wilayat Thumrait is located in the Governorate of Dhofar to the north of Salalah, Where connected by paved length of 80 kilometers, The number of the state's population 8430 people, Living in more than 21 neighborhood and locality.





Characterized by state Thumrait located on main roads, That connects most of the coastal states of the Governorate of Dhofar, Various other regions of the Sultanate.




The state is also characterized by a range of areas of archaeological, Whose names are synonymous frankincense trade, Such as: Oasis ( Hannon ) and Oasis ( Al Shasr ) and raised ( Wadi Dukah ), That have been registered in the list of World Heritage, Where there are frequent gum trees, Which is known ( frankincense Najdi ).




This is in addition to Islamic monuments - from the domes and shrines - in behalf of ( Mdy), As well as a spring of water ( Mshdid ) in the same prosecution as well, And well-known depth, As well as the large valleys extending deep into the desert.




Characterized on behalf of the ( Mdy ) location is important, Which is located on a hill north of Dhofar, And is considered one of the prosecutors in the region of the Najd, The cultivation of palm oases, And close to the valleys, Such as: the Valley ( Gharah ) and Valley ( Ammat ) and the natural spring of water, And many historic monuments as domes and shrines, Most of the works on behalf of the lapse of possession of livestock, particularly camels.

Characterized behalf ( Al Shasr ) historical archaeological location (Ubar), Which is one of the oldest archaeological sites in Dhofar, As well as the Castle of Sultan Said bin Timor.
