Wilayat Wadi Bani Khalid:
Wilayat Wadi Bani Khalid is a state in the region of Al Sharqiyah in the Sultanate of Oman.


Neighbors in the west by states of Bidiyah and Al Qabil, On the east by The mandate of Sur, On the south by state of Al Kamil and Al Wafi, On the north by The mandate of Dima and Al Taaein. A population of 7 thousand and 941 people, almost, Living in about 30 villages.



The state is a beautiful natural valley located in the Hajar Mountains the eastern in Oman, Wadi Bani Khalid is away from Muscat at about 203 km, The most famous wadis in region of Al Sharqiyah, The magnificence of this wadi lies in the presence of large pools of water, That congregate amid rock formations throughout the year, Which is the most prominent elements of attractions of this wadi.


The mandate of Wadi Bani Khalid has a lot of tourism potential, the most important ( Cave of Maqal town ), where the falling of water flowing over it and issue them profusely trickling noise, And toured the water in the pool, but soon disappear from view again to gather what looked like lakes utilized by the residents in the construction of three Falajs, The state of Wadi Bani Khalid chose to this cave and the movement of water surging from it to be slogan for the mandate.

The state is famous for a number of monuments and historical, as there are some of the forts, the most important Fort is ( Al Mawalik ) located in the village of Al Aweyna, and built dates back to fourth century AH, And it is the largest forts in the state, also was the center of the governor and the judge in the past.

There are also in The mandate of Wadi Bani Khalid ( Fort Al Adafin ) in the village of Qaswah. And ( Fort Al Ruzaiqiyeen ) in the village of Al Husn. In addition to the defenses of the other does not fear them but ruins. There are also nine towers in the state.


There are also tourist attractions spread of springs in the state, including: Ain Duwah - Ain Al Lathab - Ain Al Kabeerah - Ain Kanara - Ain Al Montager - Ain Al Halaka - Ain Al Hawiyah - Ain Al Makhda' - Ain Al Hajir - Ain Al Ethnain - Ain Ghalalah.


In addition to 56 falajs in the state of Wadi Bani Khalid, including: Falaj Al Hili - Falaj Al Farda - Falaj Abu Ba'rah - Falaj Al Sarooj - Falaj Al Jerbi - Falaj Al Kabeer.
